The aim was to develop design recommendations for Deaf culture specific web sites taking into consideration the implications of Deaf culture and Sign Language as a first language on web user experience. SIGCHI Finland awarded me with a honourable mention at their autumn seminar in Helsinki. The mention was given for my MA Thesis that took part in MA Thesis competition arranged by SIGCHI every year. My MA thesis about designing web sites for Deaf people was awarded 3rd prize in an exhibition of 400 student works from the over 90 Cumulus member institutions around the world.
